Coming a little bit earlier then was planned you now get a bunch of new options when you upgrade your Infostripe.

Removal of the ads from your Infostripe remains the same but you now also get extended benefits that add a lot of power to the value of your Infostripe and what you can include for your visitors as well as nice perks to your account.

You can Upgrade at the bottom of your Infostripe. When you are upgraded new options will appear in Settings->Details.

• Display your own ads or referral code
• Hide ads on other Infostripes
• Use Embeds, Javascript & Flash
• Include more HTML/CSS and images
• Use Google Analytics

A quick note to outline a couple of small changes:

• RSS feed images are better aligned when less than 300px
• Removing the display of broken image icons in the RSS feed
• http:// urls in blog posts are now auto linked

I am happy to say that the lastest refresh of Infostripe is now live for all users. There were some important updates in this version focused on design and usability.

A general description of major changes:

• Updated the appearance and layout of administrative features 
• Location map has moved up and can be updated when signed in
• YouTube videos found in RSS feeds are now embedded video
• The appearance of RSS feed items has changed significantly
• When showing title only, clicking title will expand the body of an item
• Most sections are now titled and collapsable
• Some minor change of default section panel order
• Section panels now remember open/close state per device/browser
• Speed and cache improvements
• Other general bug fixes and updates.

Your feedback and comments are welcome and encouraged. There are more updates in the pipeline and you can now upgrade your Infostripe for $8 to permanently remove ads, enable analytics and join others in supporting the hosting and development of Infostripe.

We will also be doing more to feature and tweet out some of the great work you’ve done. Going into 2012 we have had to enable the ads to help pay for hosting. We are working on an option to remove them if you choose we are dedicated to building a sustainable platform and any donations to that goal are welcome. Finally we have re-enabled Favorites panel. Look for more options and better control across all devices soon as we head to 2.0.
